NOSH & POSH – You don’t have to wait until next spring to get your Civic Center food truck fix! Civic Center NOSH & POSH brings several of your favorite Civic Center EATS trucks together with local fashion trucks for a fun and unique way to spend lunchtime in Civic Center Park. Fun Denver Mile High Holiday Events include shopping boutique items, snag local gems and grab a delicious bite (to go or stay) at our monthly gathering of food and fashion trucks – the second Thursday of every month, November 2015 through April 2016, from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm. Southwest Rink at Skyline Park

Located: Southwest Rink at Skyline Park, the corner of 16th and Arapahoe
One of the most popular holiday events in Denver, The Southwest Rink at Skyline Park returns in 2015 with ice skating and family fun, The Southwest Rink at Skyline Park returns in 2015 with ice skating and family fun. The rink is FREE and open to the public with the option to bring your own skates or rent a pair at a minimal cost.


Santa on the Square
Open: December
Located: Larimer Square, Larimer St., between 14th and 15th Sts.
It’s the happiest season of all at Larimer Square, where historic charm meets holiday cheer. With festive dining options and boutiques filled with treasures for everyone on your Nice List, Larimer Square help you celebrate in style. There are also carolers, carriage rides, and Santa on any given day. Visits with Santa are FREE and open to the public.

Firefighter Santa and Mrs. Claus
Visit Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Denver Firefighter’s Museum during the evening Holiday Open House, from 4:00-6:00 p.m., on December 6th.

Cherry Creek Mall Santa:
Santa will be present during Mall hours through December 24th,together with an interactive display of Disney’s Frozen.

Union Station Santa:

WHERE: City & County Building, 1437 Bannock St.
The largest lighting display in Denver comes on nightly at 6 p.m. at the City & County Building, where 600,000 lights deck the neo-classical building. The bell tower plays carols nightly as well. See some of the best holiday lights in Denver at this free event.

WHERE: Denver Botanic Gardens
Embrace the holidays with thousands of colorful lights draped in elegant designs at Blossoms of Light. The 2015 event features new elements, including the return of the grand illuminated O’Fallon Perennial Walk and the Romantic Gardens. Warm drinks and tasty treats and seasonal entertainment will be available, and thousands of lights in the Gardens’ amphitheater are synchronized to your favorite holiday tunes.
Denver Zoo Lights

WHEN: Dec. 4 – Jan. 3, 2016
WHERE: Denver Zoo
Denver Zoo Lights will nearly double in size this year, spanning 70 acres of Denver Zoo’s campus, with nightly entertainment, animal encounters, Santa meet-and-greets and, of course, illuminated animal sculptures that swing through trees, jump across lawns hide in bushes and appear in places where they’re least expected.
New Year’s Eve Fireworks

WHEN: Dec. 31
WHERE: Downtown Denver
Ring in the New Year with Denver’s annual New Year’s Eve Fireworks with viewpoints along the 16th Street Mall in downtown Denver. There will be two displays, one at the family friendly hour of 9 p.m. and the other at midnight. Costumed entertainers will interact with crowds between shows, featuring magicians, costumed characters, balloon artists, stilt walkers, comedians and more.
Denver Holiday Lights Tour

WHEN: Nov. 28 – Dec. 31 (Tue-Thur-Sat-Sun from 7 – 10 p.m.)
WHERE: Downtown Denver
Take a Denver Holiday Lights Tour with Aspire Tours and see many of the city’s famous landmarks lit up in full regalia. Starting at Union Station, the tour heads through the streets of LoDo, Larimer Square and midtown, stopping at Civic Center Park. The tour then heads into some of Denver’s oldest neighborhoods before arriving at the Denver Botanic Gardens for the Blossoms of Light show. Snap photos, enjoy new friends and warm drinks in the comfort of an upscale vehicle. The cost is $59 per person and includes entrance to the Botanic Gardens.

Other Wonderful Holiday Activities around Denver:

The ArtReach Festival of Trees-The event, which ran for more than 25 years, amazed and captivated the imaginations of hundreds of thousands of individuals and families with beautifully designed Christmas trees, live entertainment, and of course, Santa. The location of this treasure is the heart of the 40 West Arts District at 6300 West Colfax.The two and half week festival will consist of public viewing time of the artistic creations, as well as several other events to celebrate the holidays with your friends and loved ones. Tickets are $8 per person for ages 1+. Children under 1 year of age are free.

Denver Harlequins Santa Pub Crawl for Toys 4 Tots
Have you ever had the urge to march down the street with fifty of your favorite Santas on a frosty night in December? Christmas wishes will come true in Denver, with a side of appreciation for rugby, one of the newest Olympic sports. But seasonal costumery and beer aren’t the only reasons for Denver Harlequins Rugby’s seventh annual Santa Pub Crawl for Toys 4 Tots; the event is also a charity drive and a chance to learn more about rugby. Mark it down on your calendars, Santa Pub Crawl for Toys 4 Tots will be on Saturday, December 12th. Put on your Christmas gear (Santa hats, elf costumes, ugly Christmas sweaters, etc) and come out for a fun time with the Denver Harlequins Rugby Team. Toys for Tots asks that you donate a new, unwrapped toy (valued at under $20). You are welcome to bring more than one toy.
